Like its predecessor, the Neon 2 features a 2 megapixel camera. Though the camera offers numerous settings, the resulting photos are underwhelming at best. They lack high resolution, and the colors often appear faded or washed out. The device can also be used to record videos with similar results. Unlike the original model, the Neon II does include 3G support.

This allows for access to streaming media content, a music store, and faster web browsing. Primarily marketed as a quick messaging device, it is only logical that the LG Neon 2 offers convenient access to text and multimedia messaging as well as email and instant messaging support for services like Yahoo, Windows Live, and AIM. It also comes pre-installed with a social networking hub that provides access to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking services.

In a market where smartphones are expected to practically replace televisions, video game consoles, and even computers, the LG GW370 Neon 2 may seem a bit underwhelming. However, for someone who is looking for a a more basic quick messaging device, it may be an excellent choice. With an easy to use interface, attractive design, and low price, it is a good alternative to the more powerful models.
