Weighing in at 5.5 ounces, it is a bit bulkier than some of its competitors, but is appropriate considering the keyboard. The devices is made of a dark gray plastic and has a rubberized soft touch back cover. The front is dominated by a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen that is right on the mark in terms of color and brightness for a budget device. Below the screen are the four physical buttons that are common an Android devices – menu, back, home, and search.
The slide out QWERTY keyboard is a very nice touch for those who are less than comfortable using a virtual keyboard. The keyboard is roomy, and the buttons are spaced nicely. In addition, they are slightly raised, so they are easy to feel and offer a subtle “click” when pressed. In addition to letters, the keyboard also has number keys and four way navigation keys.

The LG VS700 Enlighten comes with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and an 800MHz processor that allows for quick and responsive performance on Verizon's 3G network. The phone features seven customizable home screens and all the features Android users have come to expect. A basic music player app is included and provides a decent listening experience. Videos also play relatively well. The camera on the LG Enlighten is one of the greatest disappointments for many users. At just 3.2-megapixels, it is way below the standard for even the most basic smartphones. It does not have a flash, and auto-focus is slow. Both photos and videos taken with the device tend to be disappointing, especially indoors.
