Samsung Flight 2

At MyCoolCell, we try not to be judgmental when it comes to cell phones. After all, every phone has its share of flaws, but every phone has its share of benefits, too. Every cell phone can find at least one owner that absolutely loves it and views its flaws as endearing rather than deal-breaking.

Nevertheless, when it comes to the Samsung Flight 2, this is just not our favorite phone. In fact, we'd say that if you're in the market for purchasing a new cell phone and you haven't chosen one yet, don't choose the Flight.

Why do we say this? Mostly because Flight 2 owners give the phone almost universally negative reviews. Common complaints are that the phone is slow, that it locks up, has a terrible battery life, tinny sound quality, sluggish internet – the list goes on. Most users sounded frustrated and disappointed with their new Flight 2.

Is the Flight 2 really all that bad? Professional reviewers on CNET.com gave it a three-star rating, or “good” (Source: Reviews.cnet.com http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/samsung-flight-ii-sgh/4505-6454_7-34147011.html ). You can choose who to believe.

As far as features go, the Flight 2 has a slide-out horizontal QWERTY keyboard that offers plenty of room if you want to send a text. Its display is colorful, it has a 2.0 megapixel camera, a media player, sports GPS, and works with 3G networks. Furthermore, at $49 with a two-year service agreement with AT&T, the price isn't too bad.

In essence, if the only thing you want from a phone is a comfortable QWERTY keyboard and an occasional phone call, the Samsung Flight II will probably work for you. If, however, you want your phone to do anything else, it would probably be a good idea to shop for a different phone.
