The Samsung Conquer is a 4G smartphone that runs the latest Android operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. With a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Android's latest OS, mobile hot-spot capabilities, and a front-facing camera, the Conquer is a speedy phone with a solid list of features at a reasonable price. The design of the Samsung Conquer is compact and lightweight – a boon for Android lovers who are tired of carrying around a meaty Motorola Droid. It's small, but it's not so small that it's uncomfortable to use. As Goldilocks would say, the Samsung Conquer is "just right."
The Conquer's screen, however, could be a little bit better. At only 3.5 inches, it's not the device of choice if you're going to be doing a lot of web browsing or texting – you can imagine what texting is like with a display that's 3.5 inches. Furthermore, the Conquer isn't nearly as vibrant as some of the truly high-quality display screens on the market today. If it's a bright, crisp display you're after, try the iPhone 4, or, if you prefer to stay with Samsung, try the Galaxy S II or the Droid Charge.
The cameras on the Conquer are so-so. The front-facing camera is a 1.3 megapixel camera, which is really just fine for video chatting. The regular camera is a 3.2 megapixel and it's actually pretty decent. Another place where the Conquer doesn't shine so much is battery life. Like all smartphones, you can expect this 4G speed demon to drain its battery almost as fast as it connects to the Internet.
