Samsung M930 TRANSFORM ULTRA Accessories
Samsung M930 Transform Ultra
With an increasing number of customers looking to avoid long term commitments, no-contract cellular service providers like Boost Mobile have become more popular than ever before. To keep up in the world of technology, they have been working to unveil numerous high tech devices like the Samsung M930 Transform Ultra.
Transform's Design
The Samsung Transform Ultra is an intuitively designed device. Measuring in at 4.6 inches by 2.4 inches, it is a bar style phone with a front touch screen and a slide out full QWERTY keyboard. The front of the phone also features standard buttons that allow the user to launch Google search, go back, go home, and open the menu. The screen is a relatively small 3.5 inches, but it is vibrant and colorful. The resolution allows for sharp text and a pleasant web browsing experience.
The QWERTY keyboard slides out with ease, and the back-lit keys are a nice touch for typing in the dark. The size is fairly standard, and the keys are fully separated. They are relatively flat, though, with just a slightly raised center. For some users, this can make the keyboard a bit tricky to use. In addition to standard keys, the keyboard also includes dedicated keys for symbols and emoticons as well as a speakerphone button and four directional buttons for navigation.
Transform Ultra Features and Specifications
The Samsung Transform Ultra runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3 and has a snappy 1GHz processor. It offers 3G service, so users can enjoy a relatively fast browsing experience. The Transform Ultra also includes Mobile ID, a feature allows users to customize their phone with thematic start-up profiles. These profiles allow users to switch between “themes” such as social networking to make their phones more customized. Unfortunately, Mobile ID can be slow to load, and for many users, it simply isn't worth the wait.
Like other Android smartphones, the Samsung M930 Transform Ultra offers complete integration with Google. With the Android operating system, Google users can easily access and sync with numerous Google services including search, Gmail, Maps, Navigation, YouTube, and more. Other features include a file tree, voice dialing, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and a basic Android music player.
The Samsung Transform Ultra includes both front- and rear-facing cameras. Unfortunately neither performs exceptionally well in comparison to other camera phones on the market. The front-facing camera is sufficient for video calling, but self photos are very grainy. The rear-facing camera is better, but the image quality still is not idea. Videos taken with the camera are similar to photos in terms of quality.
Samsung M930 Transform Ultra Performance
All in all, the Samsung M930 Transform Ultra offers very good performance for those who are looking for an affordable no-contract smartphone. Call quality is good, and 3G speeds are on par with what is expected. The slide out QWERTY keyboard is a nice touch for those who prefer the feel of a real keyboard as opposed to typing on a screen. With a battery that offers roughly 7 hours of talk time, this device will last throughout the day for most users.
